Our Rector: Reverend Dr. Scott Robertson
Scott comes to us from his last position as Rector of the North Ayrshire parishes of Ardrossan, Irvine and Dalry. In addition to his academic qualifications and positions as Honourary Lecturer to the University of Glasgow and Diocesan Director of Ordinands, he brings with him a wealth of experience in ministry, with a particular interest in the interface between the church and the arts.
Our Assistant Priest: Reverend Paul Romano
Paul was born and bred in Glasgow of Italian parentage. Paul was educated at Glasgow University majoring in law and is currently Executive Legal Manager and Head of Litigation and Licensing for Glasgow City Council.
Paul is a “late vocation” having studied at the Theological Institute of the Scottish Episcopal Church and the University of Aberdeen graduating in theology. He is only one of two “worker-priests” recognised and licensed as such by the Bishop in the Scottish Province and operates as the Chaplain to Glasgow City Council.
Paul is also a member of a Benedictine Order – The Community of Jesus – in America. He is very keen to promote the spirituality of God in the workplace and the reality of an everyday spirituality outwith the walls of the Church and attempts to reflect this reality in his preaching and pastoral visiting. He is deeply involved in the organisational life of the SEC being Chair of the Preliminary Causes of the Clergy Discipline Tribunal, member of the Committee on Canon Law and legal adviser and assessor to General Synod.
