Director of Music – Michael Bawtree

Before moving to Scotland in 2004, Michael was Assistant Director of Music at St Edmundsbury Cathedral in Suffolk. A graduate of Cambridge University and a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists, he is an experienced performer and recitalist. Michael has broadcast on BBC Radio, Radio New Zealand and Radio France Music, and given organ recitals across the UK, Europe and the USA. Michael is Director of the Glasgow Chamber Choir, Chorus Director of the Edinburgh Royal Choral Union, a guest conductor for Scottish Ballet, assistant music director for the Lyrique-en-Mer opera festival in France and a member of the Academic Studies department at the RSAMD. He has conducted the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Orchestra of Scottish Opera and the Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Further information can be found at www.michaelbawtree.co.uk .

Office administrator - May Livingstone

May staffs the office at St Margaret’s between 9am and 12:30 Monday through Friday.  She publishes the weekly bulletin, which accompanies the Sunday Liturgy and gives details of all current Church acitvities.

May deals with all telephone enquiries the letting of the halls and ancillary rooms, and all requests for time tabling of concerts and  events etc.

David Kerr – Verger/Church Officer

David facilitates the smooth running of Sunday Mornings, assists with Weddings, Funerals,  Baptisms, and major events at St Margaret’s by ensuring that all our support services are in place and that people have access to all the facilities they require.  He is helpful friendly and approachable.  Please contact him directly if you have specific practical needs.
