Funeral Requiem: Rev. Ron Graham

From the Rector:

“It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Revd Ron Graham, a long-time servant of the Episcopal Church. He served in three dioceses during his ministry, concluding his service at St Ninian’s Pollokshields. It is there that his funeral requiem will take place on Friday 4th May at 12 noon. Please pray for his wife, Eileen, and the rest of Ron’s family at this sad time.”

Piktionary Challenge: The Result!

After a frenetic afternoon of drawing, 12 teams were whittled down to two. Call it Divine Intervention if you wish; in the final, the Rector, leading Team Robertson, met the might of Team ‘V for Vestry’ – and won! Team Robertson took home a voucher for a very large pizza from a nearby pizza establishment while Team V consoled themselves with chocolate.

Team Robertson: the winners of the Piktionary Challenge

The event raised over £350 towards the Organ Fund.

Many thanks to all, young and old, newcomers and stalwarts, who supported this event. Watch this space for the next.

The Mark Drama @SMSEC: 4th April 2012

The Mark Drama is an innovative way of experiencing the Gospel of Mark and communicating it to others, performed as theatre-in-the-round.There are no props or costumes and the performers are amateurs.

The performances are great opportunities to invite friends, family or neighbours who may find the setting of the Gospel as drama a more comfortable way in which to  understand the story of the Passion. For more information visit www.themarkdrama.com

All are very welcome, however, please bear in mind that young children may find the drama upsetting.

As places are limited to 100, entry will be by ticket, with a suggested donation of £10  per ticket. All proceeds will go towards our Organ Refurbishment Fund.

If you’d like to obtain tickets, please contact our Administrator on 0141 636 1131.
